UAV Technology and Advancements

This course explores the cutting-edge technologies driving the evolution of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Students will delve into sensor technologies, including cameras (optical, infrared), LiDAR, radar, sonar, and multi-sensor fusion. The course will also cover the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning for autonomous decision-making, object detection and recognition, and path planning and navigation. Additionally, students will explore advancements in energy efficiency and battery technology to improve flight time and develop long-lasting power sources. Finally, the course will discuss the integration of UAVs with other emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G networks, and cloud computing.
