This course focuses on the integration and operation of various payloads on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Students will explore the integration of different sensors, including cameras (optical, infrared, thermal), LiDAR, radar, and sonar, as well as multi-sensor fusion techniques. The course will delve into the process of data collection and analysis, mission planning, and payload deployment and retrieval. Additionally, students will learn about integrating payloads with ground control stations for real-time data transmission, command and control, and payload calibration and maintenance. Through this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively integrate and operate payloads on UAVs for various applications.
