This course provides an overview of unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) operations, covering various types and applications of UGV technology. Students will explore wheeled and tracked vehicles, robotic arms and grippers, and autonomous navigation capabilities. The course will address the challenges faced by UGVs, including terrain navigation, obstacle avoidance, power management, and human-robot interaction. Additionally, students will learn about the diverse missions that UGVs can undertake, such as search and rescue operations, hazardous environment exploration, and inspection and maintenance tasks. Through this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities, challenges, and applications of unmanned ground vehicles.
